Food Sciences
Course Duration:
Five weeks. 30 classes on Food Sciences + 60 classes of Spanish language and Culture
Course Dates: To be confirmed.
The program on Food Sciences is given through English by experts from the respective fields on which the contents are based. They have the required university training and certificates.
The Spanish language classes are given by professors with ample experience in the teaching of Spanish as a second language and with specialized training in this area.
Accommodation:
- Students: Single room student residence, half board(Breakfast and dinner) from Monday to Friday.
- Faculty Member: Self – catering apartment.
- The accommodation starts on the day before the course start date and ends on the day after the course finalized.
Cultural Activities:
- Guided tour of Pamplona
- Tapas tasting (the students will simple a variety of the micro-cuisine for which Pamplona is famous.
- Visit to Casa Primicia in Laguardia. The oldest family owned winery still operating(600 years) located in Laguardia, a beautiful medieval town. With of course some wine tasting.
- Excursion to Bayona and guided tour of the city.
- Excursion to Bilbao and entrance to the Guggenheim Museum.
- Excursion to San Juan de Pie de Port, a short walk on the Way to Santiago
- Farewell dinner.
Activities related to the program:
- Visit to UPNA and tour of Food Sciences installations
- Visit to innovative Food Companies in the area(company that makes food through 3d technology)
- Visit to CNTA (Food Sciences control laboratory) + a La Navarrica
