PAMPLONA
Pamplona is a medium sized city, capital of the Region of Navarre, in the North of Spain close to the border with France. Pamplona is known world-wide for its famous San Fermin Festivals that take place every July and were made famous by Ernest Hemingway in his novel, “The Sun Also Rises” “Fiesta” in its Spanish version. Pamplona is a safe city where students can feel at home. It is not a tourist city so the students will have plenty of opportunities to speak Spanish to the local people while shopping or just out having a quiet coffee
THE SCHOOL
The Spanish Language classes will take place in classrooms located in one of the most characteristic buildings in Pamplona. The teachers are university graduates with specialized training in the teaching of Spanish as a second language. They have ample experience in teaching Spanish and Spanish for specific purposes to foreign students interested in learning Spanish a second language.
The classrooms are equipped with wifi so the students who bring their laptops can use the wifi, free of charge, within the installations.
OUR COURSES
The school offers courses of Spanish as a second language to suit all levels as set out In the Common European Framework of Reference. The first day of class the student will be given a placement test and will be placed in the level that corresponds to the results of his/her test.
The methodology used in our courses enables the students to communicate effectively in Spanish, both orally and In writing. In our methodology the student is the protagonist and it is focused on his/her needs and objectives. We understand that the student Is the centre of the teaching/ learning experience. Our methodology enables our students to carry out the linguistic tasks that are necessary for their daily activities.
LEVELS
Initial level (A1-A2)
The student can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to the areas of the most immediate relevance. He/ She can communicate simple tasks requiring a simple Exchange of information on familiar and routine matters. He/she can describe in simple terms aspects of his/her life, background in areas of immediate need.
Intermediate level I (B1 – B2)
The student can understand the main ideas of complex text on both concrete and abstract topics, including technical discussions in their field of specialization. He/she can interact with a degree of fluency with native speakers. He/she can produce clear detailed text on a wide range of subject and explain a viewpoint of a topical issue giving the advantages and disadvantages of various options.
Advanced level (C1 – C2)
The student can understand with ease virtually everything heard or read. He/ She can summarize information from different spoken and written sources, reconstructing arguments and accounts in a coherent presentation. He/she can express him/herself spontaneously, very fluently and precisely, differentiating finer shades of meaning even in the most complex situations.
