Incoming
In the area of Incoming there are two fields of training, one, focused on the learning of the Spanish language and Spanish culture and two, focused on specific programmes aimed at American Universities and which contemplate programmes that are taught through English and which include a Spanish language and culture component.
Over the years we have helped many American universities to organise academic and cultural programmes in Spain in order to introduce them to Spanish language and culture, gastronomy and history. In addition to the linguistic and cultural aspects of these programmes we have also organised programmes on Renewable Energies, Sustainable Development, Food Science, Environment, Ethics in Bio-Medical Research, Product Innovation etc. These programmes are taught in English.
In the area of Spanish language and culture Espalang works with partner centres in different Spanish cities which are recognised by the Instituto Cervantes. This guarantees the quality of the teaching, the preparation of the teachers and the quality in ancillary services such as accommodation and cultural activities.
- Focused on the learning of the Spanish language and Spanish culture
- Specific programmes aimed at American Universities
Incoming programmes are divided into two areas:
1: Spanish language and culture programmes. These programmes are designed for anyone with an interest in the Spanish language and culture. In addition to our centres in Pamplona and Vitoria-Gasteiz, we have partner schools in Valencia, Malaga and San Sebastian. In Pamplona and Vitoria-Gasteiz we offer Spanish language and culture programmes during the summer, however in our partner schools in Valencia, Malaga and San Sebastian we offer classes all year round.
2: Specific programmes focused on the needs of American universities. Since 2006 we have been working with different universities organising programmes that are promoted by professors from different faculties such as engineering, nursing, business, food sciences, humanities, etc. As an example of the programmes organised we have the following: Renewable Energies, Food Science, Sustainable Development, Ethics in Medical Research, Spanish for the Medical Profession, Camino de Santiago, General Spanish and Spanish Culture.
Among the universities participating in the programmes are Auburn University, University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa Clemson University, University of Kentucky, Lexington, Calpoly, Pomona etc.
These programmes are held in two destinations in Spain, Pamplona and Vitoria-Gasteiz, both cities located in the North of Spain.
